First Trip to Makka and Medina

 Makkah and Medina my favorite destination from I was a kid. On Ramadhan 2019 I went to Umrah while fasting. My flight depart on 8 p.m. to Jeddah Airport using Saudi Airlines. from Jakarta takes 9 hours. Almost Arrived at Jeddah airport I changed my ihram clothes on the plane. After immigration I straight to mecca city and takes 1 hour. I immediately went to Umrah. The weather was very Sunny. But, I'm never feel hot. Many peoples ask "what is Umrah?" , Umrah is one of the worship activities carried out by Muslims by undergoing ritual worship in the holy land of Mecca. Umrah is also often referred to as the little pilgrimage. To get there you must fulfill some requirements.

These requirements are Islamic requirements and the completeness of the Umrah document requirements when making a departure. The most important requirement for Umrah is to be Muslim. As mentioned above, Umrah worship is a form of worship performed by Muslims. It is not obligatory and illegal for people of other religions to perform Umrah worship. The second is, sensible or not insane. Umrah worship is not mandatory for people who have no self-awareness, are sick or suffer from mental disorders. Next is, Islamic requirements to perform Umrah worship is to have the ability. Ability here means the ability to do worship in terms of physical strength, financial strength, time set aside until obtaining permission to perform it. How to perform Umrah? , it's easy, first you should wear Ihram in order to make haram and traverse the five different areas of Miqats in the Haram boundary. I perform miqat in yalamlam because I'm from medina. After changing Ihram and cleaning body, you should perform Tawaf. you must stop reciting the Talbiyah 

and start circumambulating the holy Kaaba seven times (as a reminder of the angels that circumambulate the celestial realms of Allah’s house, al-Bayt al-Ma’mur). And then you must Sa'i walking seven times between the hills safa and marwah in worship. If you done walking don't waste your time Pray as much as you want and what prayer you want and finally the last step of your journey, shaving or clipping the hair in Mina. Men should get their head completely shaved, or get their hair clipped. While women are forbidden to shave their heads and only allowed to have a lock or strand of their hair clipped. after Umrah I just went to pray and read Al qur'an until I got home. Before I went to Madinah, I was invited dinner at restaurant with the mentor and Ustadz Zulkifli M.A!.

Many kind of foods and many choices Arab foods!. I ate Rice biryani with lamb meat and Rice biryani with Camel meat!!. Very delicious. The portions is very big.

After a week in Makkah, I went to Madinah Al Munawaroh .Madinah Al-Munawarah is the home to Masjid Nabawi where the Holy Prophet Muhammad is buried. This city is the second holiest city in Islam first being Makkah. The Holy Prophet Muhammad loved this city very much. From Makkah to Madinah is about 3 hours. There are many rules to get there!. The Prophet's Mosque is one of the most important mosques in Medina because it was built directly by the last prophet of Islam, Muhammad SAW. In this mosque complex also the Prophet Muhammad and several of his relatives were buried. The prophet's Mosque is included in the three most important mosque of Muslim after the Masjidil Haram in Makkah and Mosque Al-Aqsa in Jerusalem. I stayed at Madinah for 1 week maybe. My hotel are near by the mosque Nabawi. In the middle of the day I headed to Jabal Uhud. Another place of pilgrimage in Medina that has special features is Jabal Uhud, a hill that is promised to be in heaven. Standing majestically as high as 350 meters north of the city of Medina, this place was also the site of a battle between the Muslims and the Meccan army which took place on March 23, 625 AD. the trip to Medina was very pleasant but very tired because I waited for hours for the group at the rest area. finally I arrived at night.

Usually I eat Kebab at the food street called Shawarma. Shawarma is popular throughout the eastern Mediterranean and is sometimes called the Middle Eastern taco. It originated in northwestern Turkey as döner kebab, which reached its current form and popularity with the Turkish population in Germany. The shawarma sandwich is now found in a variety of forms around the world.

Shawarma meat is typically shaved off a large rotating cone of layered meat. The meat is roasted with radiant gas or electric heat. The shawarma vendor cuts off thin slices of the roasted meat and serves them in a folded pita with garnishes and condiments. This recipe is a simpler, homemade version of what you find on the street. It's the spices that give it all of shawarma's signature flavor. Almost a month I was in Saudi Arabia and I had to go home 9 hours to Jakarta .
